A New York City jury on Tuesday convicted a Nevada woman of two criminal charges and fined her $1.50,000, up to $2.2 million, in a $25 million verdict.
Kathryn C. Lander, 23, and her daughter, Julie, pleaded guilty to trafficking in counterfeit and unlicensed drugs and then to conspiring to traffic in counterfeit and unlicensed drugs.
They each pleaded guilty to conspiracy to traffic in counterfeit and unlicensed drugs. They each received $25,000 in restitution.
The jury later returned a 10-count sentencing fine of $2.2 million, to be paid to each defendant. The maximum penalty for each defendant is 20 years in prison.
Both Lander and Caser pleaded guilty to conspiring to traffic in counterfeit and unlicensed drugs and then to trafficking in counterfeit and unlicensed drugs.
“The jury returned a 10-count sentencing fine of $2.2 million, to be paid to each defendant,” said Judge Joseph M. Arroyo Jr. in a sentencing order issued in August 2015.
According to court documents, the court imposed a $25,000 fine and a $25,000 restitution fine to Lander.
Lander’s plea agreement with the government was that she would pay the fine and restitution for each of the two trafficking attempts.
“The government will continue to support our case,” said Assistant U. S. Attorney Jeffrey D. Schondel, after the plea agreement was signed.
“The defendant is also responsible for all of the restitution and the fines,” said U. Attorney Richard E. McGinnis.
According to court documents, Caser and Lander agreed to cooperate with investigators and conspire to distribute a list of counterfeit drugs, including counterfeit Viagra and fake Cialis, at a convenience store in Las Vegas, Nevada. Caser was involved in the conspiracy, and Lander’s involvement in the conspiracy was discussed during an interview.
According to court documents, Caser and Lander made payments to undercover agents from their Las Vegas, Nevada, office and to other investigators from the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services.
The undercover agents also received payment for their roles in the conspiracy. Caser and Lander agreed to pay the price of a large amount of counterfeit goods, which was $25,000.
“Caser and Lander are the only two defendants in this case,” said U. Attorney McGinnis.
Lander’s sentencing hearing was set for Dec. 19.

Lander’s sentence was the maximum penalty for each of the two trafficking attempts.
The first sentence was fine to be paid to Lander and the second was fine to be paid to Caser.
“This case is about the same time and place as the case of U. v. K. D. L.,” said U.
The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U. Attorney David P. Schondel.

On 14 March 2023, the UK Medicines regulator approved an application to reclassify the erectile dysfunction medication Cialis. When marketed asCialis Together(tadalafil 10mg), it will be a ‘P’ (pharmacy) medication, and so available ‘over the counter’ in pharmacies – see. This follows the 2018, ‘P’ classification of (sildenafil 50mg) which has been available OTC, without a prescription, since then.

Unfortunately, there is a strong black market in the UK for ED medicines, which are often unlicensed or counterfeit. UK Border Force and the MHRA seize millions of pounds of these fake products from criminals annually. This new classification of tadalafil 10mg will enable men who suffer from ED to obtain it safely from a local pharmacy.
Sanofi, the drug manufacturer, is expected to launch Cialis Together later in 2023. Cialis Together will be available to purchase in pharmacies without a prescription by men over 18 with erectile dysfunction. Cialis Together tablets will contain 10mg tadalafil and the maximum pack size will be 8 tablets. Other doses and pack sizes of Cialis and tadalafil will still be available on prescription through doctors and specially trained pharmacists. Before purchase in a pharmacy there must be an assessment with a pharmacist, who will check that Cialis Together is appropriate and safe, or whether consultation with a GP is necessary.
Men suffering with ED will have another treatment option with the convenience of purchasing it in their local pharmacy, including pharmacies found inside supermarkets (eg. Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury’s). The pharmacist will ask some health questions, may check blood pressure, and will advise on treatment with Cialis Together or Viagra Connect, or the need to consult a GP. Pharmacies usually have a private room for such discussions.
Cialis Together is a 10mg tadalafil product for use at least 30 minutes prior to anticipated sexual activity. Its effects can last. It is not recommended for daily use. The maximum recommended dose of Cialis Together will be one tablet in 24 hours. Prescription Cialis and tadalafil will still be available at different doses.
